Dispatcher

We are looking for a full time dispatcher for an afternoon into evening shift, approximately 11-8.

The individual selected will be in charge of dispatching a fleet of 25 to 30 drivers in the northeast region, load planning, and office administration duties.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the dispatch of drivers to ensure timely deliveries and pickups of freight.
• Utilize logistics software and transportation management systems to track shipments and vehicles.
• Communicate effectively with drivers and clients to provide updates.
• Analyze transportation data to optimize routes and improve efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments and deliveries, ensuring data entry is precise.

The Preferred Candidate Will Have:

• Strong logistics and dispatching skills
• Proficient in communication and phone etiquette
• Experience with transportation management systems and supply chain processes
• Familiarity with transportation planning
• Competence in data entry and using multi-line phone systems
• Knowledge of fleet management and shipping & receiving operations

This job is requires experience in logistics and dispatching in a trucking environment.
