Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, present menus, and assist with food and beverage selections to enhance their dining experience
• Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
• Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities while providing honest recommendations to guests
• Manage table turnovers smoothly by bussing tables promptly and maintaining a clean dining area
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while balancing registers at shift end
• Uphold food safety and sanitation standards in food handling, preparation areas, and during service to ensure guest safety and compliance with health regulations
• Provide excellent guest relations through attentive service, addressing concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere
• Assist with food preparation or kitchen support when needed, demonstrating versatility in food industry tasks
• Support host/hostess duties during busy periods by managing reservations through OpenTable or similar systems

Experience

• Previous restaurant experience in a fast-paced environment is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
• Proven skills in food service, customer service, and guest relations with a focus on hospitality excellence
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order entry and transaction processing
• Experience with food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety protocols to ensure quality standards are met
• Strong time management skills to juggle multiple tables efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
• Knowledge of upselling techniques to enhance sales opportunities without compromising guest experience
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, billing, and change calculation
• Experience with serving in diverse settings including nightlife venues or high-end restaurants is a plus
