We are seeking a talented individual to join our Accounting Operations team at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in Urbandale, Iowa. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

We Will Count On You To
- Prepare, review and analyze various accounting reports including variances, billing, and other statements; may ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Assist with the development, implementation and documentation of internal and external accounting and operating policies, procedures and process improvements for general accounting functions.
- Address inquiries from stakeholders across multiple lines of business.
- Partner with team members to develop process efficiencies.
- Perform reconciliation reviews.
- Interact with various internal stakeholders including Controllers & Financial Planning.
- Review system enhancements and upgrades to understand their function.
- Review documentation for proper revenue recognition criteria.
- Complete quality assurance reviews on fee and commission revenue for proper accounting treatment.
- Associate's degree in finance or accounting.
- Proficient with MS Excel.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Prior experience working within the insurance industry.
- High attention to detail
- Prior experience with internal controls or auditing
- Experience with Oracle.
