Job Description
Title: Sr. Coordinator, Material Flow Planning
Key Accountabilities
- Design and optimize material flow by implementing end-to-end processes, leveraging LEAN principles to ensure efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure seamless integration across the supply chain.
- Plan and coordinate complex, cross-functional logistics processes involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Implement and enhance IT-supported logistics planning tools, considering new and modified planning methods.
- Develop timelines, resource allocation strategies, and cost calculations to support logistics and supply chain initiatives.
- Design, model, and implement SAP-compatible system solutions tailored to business requirements.
- Conduct target vs. actual (SOLL-IST) analyses, prepare investment and cost alternatives, and calculate lead times throughout the procurement chain.
- Identify and implement process improvements and rationalization measures, ensuring alignment with key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with departments to define and validate planning parameters and support their operational implementation.
- Prepare decision-making templates for complex economic and cost-effectiveness evaluations.
- Support or lead logistics-related projects focused on efficiency and process optimization.
- Evaluate and initiate the integration of new technologies within the logistics chain and support their implementation.
- Plan and dimension material flow systems related to storage and transport processes.
- Create comprehensive data analyses and reporting using tools such as SAP, MS Access, and Excel.
- Ensure data quality by preparing, validating, and verifying logistics data and aligning it with real-world processes.
- Coordinate and consolidate results for high-level decision documents.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Support the standardization of logistics processes across the supply chain
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Management/Logistics/Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering and 5 years of logistics planning, materials management or material flow design experience; or 9 years of logistics planning, materials management or material flow design experience.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent knowledge of supply chain structures, material flow systems, and cost analysis
- Excellent understanding of computer applications and/or controlled systems.
- Excellent level of analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent level of interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
- Excellent understanding of modern inventory management principles
- Must be available to work all shifts and/or flexible hours
- Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite
- Familiar with plant operations/equipment and engine related components
- Familiar with low volume supplier challenges
- Knowledge of job-related product information
- SAP knowledge preferred
