The Scientist I Production Operations for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for following established operation procedures, maintaining appropriate training records for your role, sustaining a smooth flow of material, and the execution of work orders to on-time completion.
This position reports to the Reagent Operations Manufacturing Cell Culture Supervisor and is part of the Upstream Value Stream located in Chaska, MN, and will be an on-site role. In Upstream Value Stream, our goal is on-time delivery of cell culture, purifications, and conjugations to support on-time delivery of immunoassays to patients.

The hourly range for this role is $27.00 - $29.00 per hour. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To
- Execute the daily production plan to due date conformance and quality standards according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Independently execute work regarding mammalian cell cultures using good laboratory practices; assistance in other areas as needed
- Assure compliance with FDA Quality System Regulations (QSR), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and ISO regulatory requirements
- Apply basic analytical skills or scientific methods to perform daily tasks
- Work directly and cooperatively with cross-functional team members to troubleshoot issues and ensure emphasis on quality
- Bachelor's Degree in a Science field / 0 years of relevant experience
- Experience in mammalian cell culture and proficiency in aseptic techniques
- Demonstrating good laboratory practices
- Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50lb, any other physical requirements
- Able to stand for long periods of time, walk between manufacturing buildings.
- A regulated industry preferred (e.g. FDA, ISO)
- Experience in operating, monitoring, and scaling up bioreactor systems for mammalian cell lines
