As Staff Development Coordinator you have a passion for training and developing direct care staff to promote excellence in resident care while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and documentation requirements. The position identifies, prepares, presents and/or arranges presenter(s) for the training and development programs that are needed for the community.
Qualifications
Qualified applicants are required to be graduates from a School of Nursing for Registered Nurses. Current State Licensure in the state where practicing. Current CPR and First Aid certifications are required or must be willing and able to become CPR and First Aid certified. Previous experience in staff development or program development is preferred. 3-5 years of experience working with the geriatric population is required. Knowledge of regulatory compliance and Continuing Care Retirement Community operations. All applicants must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all departments and employees in a team-oriented environment. Uses a resident and customer-focused approach to problem-solving and goal-setting. Computer proficiency using Microsoft MS Office.
