The Platform Engineering & Emerging Technology (PEET) Amazon Dedicated Cloud team is hiring for an ADC Engineer to support CloudTrail, AWS Config and other AWS services! You'll design, deploy, monitor, and automate infrastructure, tools and systems to provide a highly-available and resilient platform for our customers' and our team's workloads.

This role is specifically focused on AWS CloudTrail and AWS Config. We are seeking a talented engineer skilled in the art of integration who understands the Agile mindset and DevOps philosophies, yet is not constrained by how "things are usually done" and is willing to decompose and reinvent systems, processes, and tools. We're looking for an experienced builder for some of the largest compliance and governance services on the planet; if you possess that rare mix of depth in Operations, Networking, and Systems Engineering then we are waiting for your application.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $105,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $216,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. - Investigating new ways to improve operations and defining new solutions to solve technically complex cloud issues for our customers.
- Taking a proactive approach to maintaining service health by investigating performance outliers through metric analysis and log diving.
- Increasing service knowledge by diving deep into its architecture to better understand system configuration and dependencies. Applying that knowledge to prioritize work across the team, in order to delight customers.
- Studying and learning along some of the industry's top experts on cloud computing and storage.
- Building and launching AWS services from ordering hardware to deploying software.
- Participating in an on-call rotation. Analyzing repeat issues and defining solutions.
- Modifying and/or optimizing solutions for isolated networks.
- Inspection of security practices, and application of best practices.
- Supporting the U.S. Intelligence Community and Defense agencies to implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve unique technical problems.

Basic Qualifications
- Associate's degree or above, or Cloud or GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional) or GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials) or SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)
- 3 years of experience operating in a Unix, Linux, or Red Hat environment.
- 3 years of experience implementing automated software testing, scripting, deployment, and performance analysis systems.
- 3 years of experience of proven ability to troubleshoot and identify the root cause of issues.
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
- 5 years experience with cloud computing technologies.
- 5 years of experience with support procedures and methodologies for production computing environments.
- 5 years experience troubleshooting.
- 3 years of networking experience.- 3 years of experience with performance and log analysis.
