Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules aligned with demand forecasts and capacity constraints using ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle.
- Monitor inventory levels, perform inventory control activities, and implement inventory management best practices to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and manufacturing teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
- Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) tools to optimize material planning, reduce waste, and improve overall manufacturing efficiency.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies, recommending process improvements based on lean manufacturing principles.
- Collaborate with demand planning teams to forecast future needs accurately and adjust production plans accordingly.
- Track key performance indicators related to supply chain performance, production planning accuracy, and inventory accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality requirements throughout the production process.
- Maintain comprehensive records of production activities, inventory movements, and supply chain transactions for audit readiness.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing data trends and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience in supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle for planning and inventory control purposes.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and demand planning methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with MRP systems for material planning and scheduling.
- Demonstrated ability to manage production planning processes effectively while balancing capacity constraints.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets related to inventory, demand forecasting, and supply chain performance.
- Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration across departments including procurement, logistics, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
- Prior experience working with inventory management tools and implementing process improvements is highly desirable.
