Role Description The Assembly Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Jacksonville, FL, responsible for assembling pump systems and related components according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include using hand and power tools to assemble mechanical parts, performing basic soldering as required, and ensuring all components are installed correctly and securely. The technician will inspect and test assemblies for proper function, identify and report defects or nonconformities, and assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues. Additional responsibilities include maintaining a clean and orderly work area, following safety procedures, accurately documenting work performed, and collaborating with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules. The role may also involve assisting with shipping preparation, inventory checks, and continuous improvement activities.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in Mechanical Assembly and familiarity with reading basic drawings or work instructions.
- Proficiency with Hand Tools and Power Tools used in assembly and repair of mechanical equipment.
- Fundamental Soldering skills for joining components when required by product specifications.
- Knowledge of Quality Control practices, including visual inspection, basic measurements, and documentation of findings.
- Ability to follow safety guidelines, maintain an organized workspace, and handle physical tasks such as lifting, standing, and manual dexterity work.
