Myers Power Products is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead the day-to-day manufacturing operations at our Tatamy, Pennsylvania facility. This position is responsible for overall plant performance, including production, safety, quality, delivery, materials, cost, staffing, and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate is a strong manufacturing leader who is comfortable working both on the production floor and at the strategic level. This role will lead managers and supervisors while working closely with Purchasing, Quality, Engineering, Estimating, Maintenance, Customer Service, and Human Resources to meet operational and customer goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all day-to-day manufacturing operations, including fabrication, assembly, wiring, CNC programming, shipping/receiving, materials, and production planning.
- Direct, develop, and support production managers and supervisors.
- Manage manpower, materials, equipment, production capacity, and workflow to meet business and customer requirements.
- Drive operational performance through KPIs including Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Cost (SQDIC), People, and Workplace Organization.
- Maintain a strong focus on workplace safety, employee relations, quality, and compliance with company policies and standards.
- Partner with Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, Maintenance, Estimating, Customer Service, and HR to support production goals and on-time delivery.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, employee relations, and ISO 9001:2015 compliance.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, plant capacity, efficiency, and cost while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10–15 years of manufacturing experience, including 5–7 years in a Plant Manager, or similar leadership role with responsibility for 100 salaried/hourly employees.
- Strong manufacturing leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Experience with MRP systems; knowledge of medium-voltage switchgear manufacturing is a plus.
- Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
Position Environment
This is an on-site manufacturing leadership position that works both in the office and directly on the manufacturing floor. The Plant Manager will have regular interaction with production employees, supervisors, managers, and other departments throughout the facility.
Direct reports include: Materials Manager, Production Supervisors, QMS Administrator, and EH&S Specialist.
