What are the responsibilities and job description for the Carpenter/Laborer position at Myers Contracting?
Myers Contracting is looking to hire one general laborer and one carpenter or carpenter's helper. We preform a wide range of work including, but not limited to, roofing, concrete, drywall, framing and painting. The following position will assist our lead carpenters on each job sites.
Experience for the general laborer is not required, but preferred. Candidates must be motivated, reliable, able to take direction, and able to work unsupervised.
Experience for a carpenter or carpenter's helper is required. There is not a requirement to be an expert in all areas of construction. Candidates will be evaluated based on their individual and specific job skills. Candidates must be motivated, reliable, able to take direction, and able to work unsupervised.
We are willing and able to train candidates in areas they may lack experience. Please do not claim to be skilled in areas where you have only limited knowledge or experience. It is not necessary for candidates to be experts. Please be honest with your abilities. Myers Contracting would prefer to have hard working, motivated, honest, and dependable employees.
