What You'll Do
As a Dental Patient Service Specialist, You Will
- Welcome and assist patients throughout their dental visit
- Schedule, confirm, and prepare patient appointments
- Maintain accurate patient records in OpenEMR
- Verify insurance coverage and collect patient payments
- Provide Good Faith Estimates and explain financial responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and assist patients with inquiries
- Coordinate with dental providers and clinical staff to ensure smooth operations
- Deliver exceptional customer service both in person and over the phone
- Support the front office in achieving an outstanding patient experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of dental front office experience
- Knowledge of dental scheduling and insurance verification
- Experience using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment
- Professional, positive, and patient-focused attitude
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Experience with OpenEMR
- Knowledge of Good Faith Estimates and patient financial counseling
