Job Summary
The Lead Behavioral Therapist is responsible for implementing individualized ABA therapy programs and ensuring high-quality behavioral services for clients diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related developmental conditions. This position is designed for an individual currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a master’s program in Applied Behavior Analysis or a closely related field who is pursuing BCBA certification.
The Lead Behavioral Therapist conducts 1:1 ABA therapy sessions with clients and provides clinical and technical support to the treatment team. The position is directly supervised and overseen by the Clinical Director, ensuring compliance with clinical standards, ethical guidelines, and evidence-based practice.
Duties
- Conduct individualized 1:1 ABA therapy sessions with clients across home, school, or community settings.
- Implement treatment and behavior intervention plans as developed by the supervising BCBA/Clinical Director.
- Collect, record, and analyze data on skill acquisition and behavior reduction goals.
- Assist in functional behavior assessments (FBAs), preference assessments, and skill assessments under supervision.
- Collaborate with caregivers and interdisciplinary teams to promote generalization of skills and consistency across settings.
- Participate in clinical supervision sessions with the Clinical Director for ongoing development and BCBA fieldwork hours.
Experience/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Behavior Analysis, or related field.
Preferred:
- Completion of BACB-approved coursework and active pursuit of BCBA supervision hours.
- Experience in training or supervising behavioral staff.
- Familiarity with electronic data collection systems and ABA documentation standards.
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Master’s program in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of direct experience providing ABA therapy to individuals with ASD or developmental delays.
- RBT certification (or eligibility to obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
Work Environment:
- Provides services in home, clinic, school, or community settings.
- Receives direct clinical oversight and mentorship from the Clinical Director.
- Participates in supervision meetings, case reviews, and ongoing performance evaluation.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 15 per week
