About the Role: We are a premier Mandarin Immersion Nature Preschool seeking a visionary Lead Teacher to anchor our flagship North Seattle location. We are not a traditional "desk-and-chair" school. We believe in 100% Mandarin immersion through outdoor exploration, nature-based play, and child-led discovery.
We need a leader who is as passionate about pedagogy as they are about building a thriving, collaborative community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Immersion Leadership: Maintain a 100% Mandarin-only environment, modeling high-quality language for students and staff.
- Nature-Based Pedagogy: Lead outdoor curriculum that fosters independence and wonder.
- Site Supervision: Mentor assistant teachers, manage daily operations, and ensure DCYF licensing standards are met.
- Parent facing: Act as the face of the school, communicating milestones and building deep trust with families.
Requirements:
- Native-level Mandarin fluency.
- WA State ECE Stackable Certificate (or the ability to obtain it quickly).
- Experience in a Nature-based or Reggio-inspired setting preferred.
