What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Organizer / Community Evangelist position at My Voice?
About My Voice Counts
My Voice Counts is a civic technology startup that helps organizers, political campaigns, elected officials, and nonprofit organizations understand what their communities genuinely think.
Through the app, leaders can ask their audience questions and receive verified, real-time results on the issues that matter most. Instead of relying on assumptions, informal feedback, or unverified online polls, they can access credible community insights and use them to make better decisions.
We are now expanding our presence in the United States ahead of the 2026 election cycle.
About the Role
This is a highly independent, relationship-driven role for someone who understands campaigns, advocacy organizations, political networks, and community organizing.
You will represent My Voice Counts at conferences, political conventions, advocacy summits, organizing trainings, and other major industry events. Your responsibility will be to introduce the platform, demonstrate how it works, build relationships, and turn promising conversations into active partnerships.
This is not a traditional desk-based position. Success is measured by the organizers, campaigns, NGOs, and community leaders you successfully bring onto the platform.
What You’ll Do
- Attend major conferences, conventions, political events, advocacy gatherings, and organizing trainings.
- Connect with campaign professionals, consultants, elected officials, nonprofit leaders, activists, and community organizers.
- Deliver clear, engaging two-minute demonstrations of the My Voice Counts app.
- Explain how the platform helps organizations collect verified feedback, understand their communities, and engage people around important issues.
- Onboard qualified organizers, campaigns, NGOs, and community leaders.
- Support new partners as they create and publish their first live poll or public engagement initiative.
- Collect contact information and manage consistent follow-up through calls, email, WhatsApp, or meetings.
- Introduce relevant people from your own professional network to the platform.
- Share structured feedback after conversations, including what potential partners liked, what concerns they raised, and what prevented them from moving forward.
- Help us understand the U.S. political and advocacy market so we can continue improving the product.
