Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to provide excellent service and support throughout their shopping experience.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, handling transactions accurately.
- Assist in stocking shelves, merchandising products, and maintaining store organization.
- Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits.
- Utilize upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and increase sales.
- Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and support.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the sales floor and backroom areas.
- Handle cash transactions responsibly, ensuring accuracy in cash handling procedures.
- Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when responding to customer inquiries or taking orders.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and understanding retail math concepts.
- Experience with merchandising techniques and stocking procedures is a plus.
