What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanic position at My-T Acres, Inc.?
Workers may operate, service, and/or repair a variety of farm equipment. Workers will, with supervisor's instructions; diagnose, repair and overhaul engines, transmissions, components, electrical and fuel systems, etc. for various powered and rolling equipment such as cars, trucks, buses, farm equipment and generators. Agricultural equipment will include tractors, truck tractors, front loaders, skid steers, forklifts, vegetable harvesters, lawn mowers, and trailers hauling vegetables and/or grain to main farm location and/or to plants. Workers will keep the inside and outside of the equipment clean. Workers may also drive other H2A workers to and from housing, main farm location, worksites and/or stores, bank, etc. Workers will maintain service records.
Workers must possess a valid driver’s license and meet all applicable legal requirements, including holding a doctor’s certificate as required by 29 CFR § 500.105, in order to drive vehicles for transporting workers, goods, or commodities on company business.
