Job Overview
We are seeking energetic and reliable Drivers to join our dynamic transportation team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating a variety of vehicles to ensure timely and courteous transportation for passengers, vehicles including including Toyota Priuses and vehicle transports with a back and side automatic lift for clients in wheelchairs for safe transportation and also with excellent customer service skills will help create a positive experience for all clients. Whether you're experienced in school bus driving, paratransit services, or commercial driving, this opportunity offers a chance to showcase your skills in a fast-paced environment. All positions are paid according to the total of your trips completed and multiplied by 34.5 %, of the total trips you perform.
Duties
- Safely operate different types of vehicles such as Toyota Prius, mini vans, and transit vans
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with or without wheelchairs
- Answering questions in a professional manner
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met and report any issues promptly.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to maintain a safe driving environment at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, using a smart phone or company tablet
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate schedules and address any on-road concerns swiftly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience of loading and unloading of clients (no experience necessary)
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with passengers and team members.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when loading or unloading clients
- Knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations applicable to commercial driving.
- Basic vehicle maintenance skills to identify issues early and ensure vehicle safety.
