Assistant Store Manager

My Sister’s Cottage is a Christian retail lifestyle brand with locations in Wilmington, NC, Charleston, SC, and Raleigh-Durham, NC. Assistant Store Manager Job Description:

• Supervise, train, and assist employees like Sales Representatives and Shift Leads in customer service, sales goals, and product promotions.
• Hire and train as needed to ensure adequate personnel is on hand to provide outstanding customer service.
• Develop and maintain a schedule for employees.
• Seek ways to better promote the store, the product line, and the service within the store.
• Implement cross-training of employees to always maintain productivity.
• Ensure the store always remains clean and presentable.
• Identify current and future customer needs by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers to understand service requirements.
• Walk the sales floor and Inventory room regularly, talking to colleagues and customers to identify or resolve urgent issues
• Address customer complaints and issues in a professional manner.
• Handle staff conflicts, complaints, and problems.
• Work with in store Visual Merchandiser to maintain “On brand” store atmosphere.
• Install various promotional materials and in-store displays for promotions centered on holiday sales and other cycles.
• Maintain operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational and personnel policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with various health and safety regulations.

Store Manager Requirements and Qualifications:

• Understanding of basic business management functions.
• Minimum of a high school diploma. Candidates with associate's or bachelor's degrees will be given preference.
• 3 years of experience working in a retail environment, ideally in a supervisory role.
• Proven competencies in effective communication and management.
• Willingness to learn and tackle new challenges.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
