JOB DESCRIPTION
My Psychiatrist is a well-established multi-disciplinary outpatient mental health group practice. We are seeking Full-Time Residents in Counseling or Supervisee in Clinical Social Work with experience providing outpatient psychotherapy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct diagnostic assessments to diagnose psychological disorders using evidence-based practices and consultations
- Formulate and create personalized interventions, treatments, and management plans for patients
- Develop treatment plans and set therapeutic goals with patients
- Provides psychotherapy by utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches, both in-person and telehealth
- Foster a supportive and non-judgmental counseling environment to promote a positive therapeutic relationship with clients
- Maintain complete, accurate, and current records of all clinical services rendered, includes initial evaluations, progress notes, summary notes and all other necessary documentation
- Maintain confidentiality for all patient records
- Provide individuals with resources needed to achieve personal goals
- Measuring the effectiveness of interventions and implementing changes where required
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in the field of mental health and continue professional development
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or similar disciplines
- Licensed as Residents in Counseling or Supervisee in Clinical Social Work in Virginia
- On track to obtaining LPC, LMFT, or LCSW in the state of Virginia
- Must have strong foundation of clinical knowledge in diagnosis and treatments
- Experienced with a variety of psychotherapy modalities, familiar with a wide range of mental health problems
- Experience working with common outpatient mental health disorders and diagnosis such as MDD, ADHD, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, grief, etc.
- Proficient with planning and performing psychological therapy & risk assessment
