My Place Hotel is seeking a dependable and organized individual to join our team as an Assistant General Manager. In this vital role, you will work closely with the General Manager to oversee all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring that our property meets the highest standards of quality and guest satisfaction.
The Assistant General Manager is responsible for supervising a diverse team which may include guest service representatives, lead room attendants, housekeepers, maintenance, laundry, and shuttle drivers. This position offers an opportunity to gain comprehensive experience in hotel management and contribute to the hotel's success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Service: Play a pivotal role in ensuring every guest has an exceptional experience. Address and resolve guest concerns with a proactive and solution-oriented approach, ensuring their stay is enjoyable and memorable.
- Safety and Security: Implement and uphold safety and security measures to protect guests, staff, and hotel property. Regularly conduct inspections to identify and address any potential hazards or issues.
- Hotel Operations: Support the General Manager in managing the daily operations of the hotel. Ensure that all departments function efficiently and maintain the brand standards.
- Sales and Marketing: Assist in executing sales and marketing strategies to increase occupancy and enhance the hotel's visibility. Work to boost the hotel's performance through effective promotional activities and customer engagement.
- Administrative Duties: Help manage administrative tasks, including financial reporting, payroll, and cash handling. Ensure accurate record-keeping and adherence to budgetary guidelines.
- Staff Management: Oversee the recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance management of hotel staff. Provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure that all employees meet performance expectations and align with the brand standards.
- Hands-On Management: Be ready to step in and perform any role within the hotel, including front desk, guest services, night audit, housekeeping, maintenance, shuttle driving, and delivering breakfast-in-bed.

Licenses or Certification:
- Valid driver's license and insurability for driving.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
Supervisory Responsibility:
You will assist in overseeing hotel staff.
Travel:
Occasional overnight travel may be required.
Safety Requirements:
Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols on hotel premises, operating vehicles, or performing field duties.
