What You'll Do

As a Guest Services Representative, your shift will include a variety of responsibilities all focused on providing top-tier service:

Guest Interaction

  • Warmly welcome and greet guests.
  • Efficiently handle check-ins, check-outs, and reservations.
  • Accurately record all room, tax, My Store, and pet fee charges according to hotel policy.

Guest Assistance

  • Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, restaurants, shopping, and nearby churches.
  • Assist guests with questions, concerns, or complaints with professionalism and care.

Telephone & Communication

  • Operate the phone system using proper etiquette.
  • Take and transfer calls, and accurately record messages.

Financial Transactions

  • Complete credit card authorizations.
  • Handle cash transactions with accuracy and provide change when needed.

Administrative Duties

  • Maintain organized daily activity logs, including cash and call logs.
  • Keep the Front Desk Log updated.
  • Report any guest, maintenance, or front desk issues to the General Manager.

Safety & Security

  • Follow all hotel safety and security policies.
  • Routinely inspect the property, including hallways, stairwells, entrances, outdoor lighting, and exterior doors.

Loyalty Program Promotion

  • Actively promote the Stay Rewarded® Loyalty Program to enhance guest engagement and satisfaction.

Cleaning & Upkeep

  • Assist with laundry: washing, drying, folding, and storing linens.
  • Clean and sanitize common areas.
  • Stock supplies, make coffee, and maintain the coffee bar.
  • Keep entrances and sidewalks clear of snow and ice.

Support Services

  • Deliver guest supplies (e.g., cribs, towels, toiletries).
  • Issue and track master keys and key cards for housekeeping and maintenance.

Housekeeping Assistance

  • Support housekeeping by cleaning guest rooms when occupancy is high or staffing is limited.

What We're Looking For

  • Basic Computer Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
  • Strong Communication: Clear, friendly verbal and written communication.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
  • Dependability & Professionalism: Consistency, reliability, and a professional demeanor.
  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy in financial transactions, guest records, and daily tasks.
