What You'll Do
As a Guest Services Representative, your shift will include a variety of responsibilities all focused on providing top-tier service:
Guest Interaction
- Warmly welcome and greet guests.
- Efficiently handle check-ins, check-outs, and reservations.
- Accurately record all room, tax, My Store, and pet fee charges according to hotel policy.
- Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, restaurants, shopping, and nearby churches.
- Assist guests with questions, concerns, or complaints with professionalism and care.
- Operate the phone system using proper etiquette.
- Take and transfer calls, and accurately record messages.
- Complete credit card authorizations.
- Handle cash transactions with accuracy and provide change when needed.
- Maintain organized daily activity logs, including cash and call logs.
- Keep the Front Desk Log updated.
- Report any guest, maintenance, or front desk issues to the General Manager.
- Follow all hotel safety and security policies.
- Routinely inspect the property, including hallways, stairwells, entrances, outdoor lighting, and exterior doors.
- Actively promote the Stay Rewarded® Loyalty Program to enhance guest engagement and satisfaction.
- Assist with laundry: washing, drying, folding, and storing linens.
- Clean and sanitize common areas.
- Stock supplies, make coffee, and maintain the coffee bar.
- Keep entrances and sidewalks clear of snow and ice.
- Deliver guest supplies (e.g., cribs, towels, toiletries).
- Issue and track master keys and key cards for housekeeping and maintenance.
- Support housekeeping by cleaning guest rooms when occupancy is high or staffing is limited.
- Basic Computer Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
- Strong Communication: Clear, friendly verbal and written communication.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
