Job Summary:
We are in search of a full-time candidate with an orthotic, veterinary, or biomechanical background who enjoys working with their hands and is passionate about helping pets. As a Veterinary Cast Technician, you will be responsible for modifying plaster molds, holding dogs and other pets for casting, and assisting with the fabrication of our devices.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Prepare, modify, and refine plaster molds to ensure proper fit and function
- Assist with in-person appointments, including safely handling and stabilizing dogs during the casting process
- Support the fabrication and assembly of orthotic devices
- Perform adjustments and repairs to existing devices
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Complete additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned
- Availability for occasional overtime as needed
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift or support up to 100 pounds multiple times a day (hold a dog in a standing position/prevent the dog from sitting)
- Ability to transition between sitting on the ground or a low bench, kneeling, and standing positions throughout the workday
- Ability to safely handle, position, and restrain pets as needed for casting
- Ability to stand and remain on your feet for extended periods of time
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements for extended periods

Education and Credentials:
- Experience in orthotics and prosthetics, veterinary sciences, physical therapy, or a related field
- Knowledge of human or veterinary anatomy
- Familiarity and comfort working with dogs and other pets
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
