My Little Sunflower Academy is a growing home-based daycare currently expanding into a larger commercial childcare center with strong long-term growth opportunities.

We are currently hiring an On-Call Childcare Float Assistant to support our childcare program as needed.

Pay:

$21/hour

Please note:

This pay rate is specifically for the Float / On-Call position only. Compensation may vary if the candidate is later considered for a permanent Full-Time or Part-Time position within the company.

Job Type:

Part-Time / On-Call

Schedule:

Hours and workdays are flexible and will vary based on operational needs.

This position is ONLY contacted when the business requires staffing support, classroom coverage, or operational assistance.

There are NO guaranteed weekly hours.

Work Locations:

Candidates must be available to work at BOTH company locations when needed:

• Bronx, NY 10466
• Yonkers, NY 10705

Reliable transportation between locations is strongly preferred.

Position Overview:

This role is ideal for individuals seeking flexible childcare work opportunities while gaining experience and becoming part of a growing childcare program.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with supervision and care of children
• Support classrooms when coverage is needed
• Help maintain a clean and safe environment
• Assist staff with daily childcare routines and activities
• Follow all daycare policies and safety procedures
• Work professionally with staff and families

Requirements:

• Must be reliable and punctual
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Flexible availability is required
• English and Spanish are required
• Must be willing to travel between both business locations when needed
• Must enjoy working with children
• Professional attitude and strong communication skills
• Childcare experience preferred

Training & Certifications:

All candidates must complete all required New York State and childcare-related trainings/certifications required by company and city regulations.

Required trainings, certifications, and approved training hours will be paid by the company when applicable.

Future Opportunities:

If a future Full-Time or Part-Time permanent position becomes available, Float staff members may be considered for those opportunities if they meet the qualifications and performance expectations of the company.
