About Us
At My Little Best Friends Early Learning Center, we provide multilingual education in a fun, safe, and nurturing environment. We support children from infancy through pre-kindergarten with stimulating, age-appropriate learning experiences. Our goal is to create a warm, family-like atmosphere where children feel secure, valued, and inspired to grow.
We are seeking a passionate, organized, and hands-on Director to join our leadership team and help support our staff, families, and growing school community. The schedule would be Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 6:00pm. We can accommodate a later start time if needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the day-to-day operations of the center
- Supporting classrooms and stepping in as needed
- Supervising and mentoring teachers, assistant teachers, and aides
- Conducting monthly classroom and staff observations
- Participating in hiring, onboarding, and training new staff
- Supporting compliance with EEC (Department of Early Education and Care) regulations
- Coordinating staff schedules and managing time-off requests
- Assisting in curriculum review and classroom improvements
- Meeting with families regarding child development, behavior, or center policies
- Organizing and supporting center events and family engagement activities
- Responding to emergencies and arranging medical attention according to EEC guidelines
- Maintaining a caring, professional, and inclusive environment for children, families, and staff
- Assisting with administrative tasks, documentation, and licensing requirements
Qualifications
- EEC Director Certification required
- Previous leadership experience in an early childhood setting preferred but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized, dependable, and self-motivated
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for working with young children in a nurturing and educational setting
- Ability to lift and care for children up to 50 pounds
- Fluent in English
- Intermediate/Fluent in Spanish (preferred but not required)
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
