Onsite Technical Alignment Engineer

My IT Crew
Orlando, FL Full Time
POSTED ON 10/14/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 11/12/2026

See the Bigger Picture. Solve Problems Before They Start.

At My IT Crew, we believe the best IT environments are built through thoughtful planning, consistent standards, and a commitment to getting things right before problems arise.

We're looking for an Onsite Technical Alignment Engineer (TAM) who enjoys getting hands-on with technology, visiting client locations, and making meaningful improvements to the systems businesses rely on every day. If you're naturally curious, take ownership of what needs to be done, and prefer finding the root cause over applying temporary fixes, this could be the opportunity for you.

Position: Onsite Technical Alignment Engineer (TAM)

Reports to: Technical Alignment Team Lead

Location: Client Sites – Onsite

Department: Service Delivery

Work Arrangement: Field-Based, with daily travel to client locations

The Role: Make Every Client Visit Count

As an Onsite Technical Alignment Engineer, you'll be responsible for evaluating client environments, identifying areas that need attention, and bringing their technology closer to established MITC standards. Your work will help reduce recurring issues, uncover potential risks, and give clients a more stable and dependable IT experience.

You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of technical improvements, work alongside different teams, and help shape the standards that guide how we support our clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting regular onsite assessments to evaluate client systems, infrastructure, and overall technical alignment.
  • Identifying weaknesses, inconsistencies, and potential points of failure, then taking action to address them.
  • Digging deeper into recurring issues to determine their underlying causes and implement long-term corrections.
  • Reviewing existing technology setups against MITC standards and recognized industry best practices.
  • Recognizing potential security, infrastructure, and operational risks and ensuring they are addressed or escalated appropriately.
  • Partnering with the Project Team during new client implementations to establish environments that meet our technical expectations from the start.
  • Maintaining clear records of site assessments, technical findings, completed work, and recommended next steps.
  • Supplying our vCIO with reliable information about client infrastructure to support technology planning and strategic decisions.
  • Contributing ideas that improve internal procedures, technical standards, and the consistency of our service delivery.
  • Keeping teammates informed of changes to technical standards and practices that may affect their work.
  • Recording work performed and time spent accurately in our service management system.

This is a field-based position that requires daily travel to client sites. Applicants must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Who Will Thrive in This Role?

We're looking for someone who doesn't simply complete a checklist but understands why the work matters. You'll need to be comfortable working independently, interacting with clients, and recognizing opportunities to improve an environment even when no one has reported a problem.

The right person will bring:

  • A prevention-first mindset. You look for warning signs, address weaknesses early, and believe lasting solutions are better than repeated fixes.
  • Initiative and ownership. You can identify what needs attention, determine the next steps, and follow through without constant supervision.
  • Strong people skills. You can work professionally with clients, explain technical findings clearly, and make every onsite interaction a positive experience.
  • Attention to detail. You understand that accurate documentation and consistent technical standards are essential to reliable IT operations.
  • A collaborative attitude. You share knowledge, support your teammates, and put the team's success ahead of personal recognition.
  • A broad perspective. You consider how technical decisions affect the client's business, the wider IT environment, and MITC's ability to deliver dependable service.
  • Flexibility in the field. You're comfortable traveling between client locations and adapting to different environments and priorities.

Technical Experience That Helps You Succeed

You don't need to know everything on day one. We value the right mindset, a willingness to learn, and the ability to turn knowledge into practical improvements.

The following experience would be an advantage:

  • Familiarity with Windows environments and Microsoft technologies.
  • Previous experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
  • Relevant industry certifications, including Microsoft certifications, CCNA, or similar credentials.

Why Join My IT Crew?

  • Make a lasting impact. Help strengthen client environments instead of repeatedly dealing with the same technical problems.
  • Expand your experience. Work across different client infrastructures and encounter a variety of real-world technical challenges.
  • Take ownership. Have the opportunity to identify improvements and contribute to how technical standards are developed and maintained.
  • Learn with a team. Exchange knowledge with colleagues and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Build your future. Develop your technical capabilities in an organization that values initiative, accountability, and practical problem-solving.

If you enjoy investigating how systems work, spotting what others might overlook, and leaving every environment better than you found it, we'd like to hear from you.

Apply today and help My IT Crew build stronger, more reliable technology environments—one client visit at a time.
