Role Overview
A PE-backed specialty materials company is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead M&A integration activities across cross-functional teams. This is a tactical, execution-focused role for a professional who thrives in the structured complexity of post-close integration work. The ideal candidate brings a blend of corporate and consulting experience and is deeply familiar with integration terminology, workstream coordination, and value-capture tracking.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional integration workstreams across Finance, Operations, HR, IT, and Commercial teams
- Develop and maintain integration project plans, milestones, and status dashboards to track progress against value-capture targets
- Manage Transition Service Agreements (TSAs), including tracking obligations, timelines, and exit milestones
- Facilitate post-close integration meetings
- Monitor and report on cost-tracking and cost synergy realization throughout the integration lifecycle
- Identify and escalate risks, dependencies, and blockers across workstreams to integration leadership
- Serve as a utility player across integration needs, providing organizational structure and execution rigor in a dynamic environment
- Maintain clear documentation of decisions, action items, and accountability across all integration teams
Qualifications
Required:
- 10 years of project management experience with direct exposure to M&A integration or post-merger activities
- Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional teams and coordinating multiple simultaneous workstreams
- Proficiency in building and maintaining project trackers, dashboards, and status reporting tools
- Strong understanding of TSA management, value-capture tracking, and integration lifecycle phases
- High organizational aptitude; ability to structure ambiguous work and manage competing priorities
- Effective communicator with the ability to present clearly to both operational teams and senior leadership
Preferred:
- Background as an M&A integration consultant or experience with a Big 4 or boutique advisory firm
- Familiarity with integration management office (IMO) frameworks and tools
- Experience in manufacturing, specialty materials, or industrial sector integrations
- PMP certification or equivalent project management credential
