Job Summary
My Gym is seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Director to lead our children’s fitness programs. In this role, you will help oversee daily operations, manage staff, and teach in an engaging environment for children and their families. Your leadership will ensure high-quality fitness instruction while fostering a positive and supportive community. Duties
- Operational Oversight: Assist in managing daily operations of the children’s fitness facility, ensuring smooth and efficient activities.
- Meaningful Impact: Lead and supervise fitness classes, group activities, and sports coaching sessions tailored for children.
- Effective Communication: Design engaging fitness programs that incorporate principles of physiology, body mechanics, and anatomy to promote healthy development.
- Supportive Team Culture: Train and mentor staff in teaching techniques, group fitness instruction, and personal training tailored for children.
- Strategic Development: Create and implement strategies to boost enrollment and retain currently-enrolled families
- Relationship Building: Collaborate with parents and caregivers to communicate progress, program details, and health considerations.
- Safety and Cleanliness: Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for children, families, and staff.
Qualifications
- Childcare Experience: Proven experience working with young children in an organized play environment.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership or management experience, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Education Skills: Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, body mechanics, and how they relate to children's development.
- Experience in group fitness instruction or personal training with a focus on youth.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
