Role Description
URGENTLY HIRING for a PART-TIME, ON-SITE Comptroller/Accountant role located in Jacksonville, FL 32204. This role will handle QuickBooks entries, perform financial analysis, and collaborate with internal teams to maintain accurate financial records. Additional tasks include budgeting, audit preparation, and identifying opportunities for financial improvement.
Hours: 3 days a week (Approximately 15 & 20 hours)
**Potentially more to start and help us get everything transferred over and entered accurately**
Salary: Negotiable (for the right candidate)
Schedule: Flexible - within our general operating hours of 7:30-3:30 M-F (for the right candidate)
Responsibilities Include (But not limited to):
Financial Management: Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS. Develop and implement annual budgets and forecasts.
Internal Controls: Establish and enforce internal control policies and procedures to ensure the accuracy of financial records and compliance with legal requirements.
Audit Coordination: Liaise with external auditors and ensure timely completion of audits, addressing any issues that arise during the audit process.
Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, overseeing tax filing and reporting processes.
Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage the organization’s cash flow and financial position to ensure liquidity and operational efficiency.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions, including variance analysis and performance metrics.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks to the organization, ensuring the sustainability of financial operations.
Qualifications:
- Expertise in using QuickBooks for bookkeeping and accounting purposes
- Proficiency in Financial Statements and Accounting principles
- Strong Analytical Skills and an understanding of Finance
- Experience in Financial Reporting and compliance with regulatory standards
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills preferred
- Ability to work independently in an on-site setting
- Prior experience in a similar role is HIGHLY DESIRABLE
