We’re looking for an energetic and friendly Service Deli Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our deli department, helping customers select delicious foods, preparing and serving a variety of deli items, and ensuring a clean, safe, and inviting shopping experience. The ideal candidate is passionate about food service, has good knife skills, and enjoys working in a fast-paced retail setting.
Duties
- Assist customers by answering questions about deli products and offering recommendations.
- Prepare and serve a variety of deli items, including meats, cheeses, salads, and prepared foods.
- Use proper food handling techniques to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, including sanitizing surfaces and equipment regularly.
- Slice meats and cheeses accurately to meet customer specifications.
- Support meal preparation and food presentation for catering or special orders as needed.
- Follow all food safety regulations to ensure a safe shopping environment for customers and staff.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or retail is preferred; restaurant or kitchen experience is a plus.
- Strong knife skills with the ability to slice meats and cheeses precisely.
- Knowledge of food handling safety practices and sanitation standards.
