Day Camp Counselor

Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Day Camp Counselors to join our team and provide a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for children during summer camp sessions. Animal experience is not required but preferred! We are a Christian farm and expect our counselors to be kind, responsible, and fun! The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, strong leadership skills, and the ability to create a positive and inclusive atmosphere. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in childcare, education, and youth development while making a meaningful impact on campers' summer experience. Someone who is able to adapt and work in different camp stations would be ideal.

Duties

• Supervise and engage children in daily camp activities, including games, arts and crafts, water activities, and animal-related activities.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers at all times by implementing proper behavior management techniques
• Administer basic first aid when necessary and respond appropriately to emergencies
• Foster a positive environment that encourages inclusivity, respect, and fun
• Support special events or themed days that enhance the camp experience

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, babysitting, tutoring, or camp programs is highly desirable
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies
• Certifications in first aid or CPR are required; training can be provided if necessary
• Background in sports coaching, Christian counseling, or childcare enhances candidacy
• Demonstrated ability to lead activities safely while fostering a fun and inclusive environment

Pay: $10.00 - $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 per week
