Job Overview

My Empowering Impact, LLC is hiring motivated PRP Counselors and Behavioral Health Interns to provide psychiatric rehabilitation services throughout the state of Maryland.

This flexible, community-based role allows you to work within your local area while supporting individuals in achieving independence and recovery. We welcome candidates located anywhere in Maryland, especially those who are connected to their communities and passionate about expanding access to care.

This role is ideal for individuals who are:

• Looking to gain hands-on experience in behavioral health
• Skilled at building relationships and engaging clients
• Interested in maintaining and growing a consistent caseload

What You’ll Do

• Provide psychiatric rehabilitation services to adults and/or minors
• Complete assessments, IRPs (treatment plans), and progress notes
• Deliver skill-building, counseling, and recovery-focused interventions
• Monitor client progress and update plans as needed
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation
• Coordinate care with providers, families, and community partners
• Link clients to community resources and supports

Caseload & Client Engagement

• Build and maintain a consistent caseload
• Engage clients through follow-up, rapport-building, and service consistency
• Participate in community outreach and professional networking
• Utilize knowledge of your local area to support client access and engagement
• Develop relationships with referral sources (clinics, schools, community organizations)

All outreach and engagement must comply with ethical standards and applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• For Adult PRP: Minimum of 1 year experience working with adults with mental illness
• For Child & Adolescent PRP: Minimum of 2 years experience working with children/adolescents with mental illness
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field (preferred)
• Experience in behavioral health, PRP, or community-based services (preferred)
• Strong communication and engagement skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
• Basic computer skills and EMR experience
• Must pass background check
