We are seeking a highly organized and energetic Dental Front Desk Coordinator with proven dental experience to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette.
- Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft.
- Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification processes.
- Collect and process patient payments, including medical billing and coding using CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10 codes, and Meditech or Epic EMR systems.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations through proper documentation review.
- Assist with patient intake, medical records filing, and updating health information management systems like Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks.
- Support clinic operations by managing front desk duties such as filing, data entry, and handling correspondence.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to coordinate care plans and ensure seamless patient flow within the practice.
Skills
- Extensive dental office experience with proficiency in dental terminology and clinic procedures.
- Strong knowledge of EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Meditech, Epic, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks.
- Experience with medical coding including CPT, ICD-9/10 coding for billing and documentation purposes.
- Familiarity with insurance verification processes for Medicare and other insurance providers.
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing (including 10-key).
- Exceptional patient service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and multi-line phone system handling.
- Ability to review documentation accurately while adhering to HIPAA standards; bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Strong organizational skills for filing, medical records management, and office administration tasks.
