Responsibilities
- Assess and analyze home equity loan applications by reviewing borrower financial information, credit reports, and property valuations to determine eligibility and risk.
- Provide clear explanations of home equity loan options, terms, and conditions to clients, ensuring they understand the financial concepts involved.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis using specialized software tools to evaluate borrower assets, liabilities, income, and overall financial health.
- Collaborate with clients to develop tailored financial solutions that align with their investment management and financial planning needs.
- Manage the end-to-end loan process from application submission through approval, documentation, and funding, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
- Monitor existing home equity portfolios for asset management efficiency, identifying opportunities for refinancing or additional borrowing based on market research and portfolio performance.
- Stay informed about industry trends in investment banking, mortgage markets, and financial services to provide innovative solutions and advice.
- Maintain detailed records of all transactions, communications, and compliance documentation to ensure transparency and audit readiness.
- Support cross-functional teams by working with the branch manager and employees t o provide other financial services to our members, cash handling, including teller work, auto loans and other branch duties when there are no equity loans in process.
Qualifications
- Possess an NMLS number. Proven experience in home equity loans, asset management, financial analysis, or related roles within financial services or investment management sectors.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts such as collateral valuation, risk assessment, and portfolio management principles.
- Proficiency with financial software platforms used for analysis, research, and reporting purposes.
- Excellent math skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets accurately.
- Knowledge of home equity products, mortgage lending processes, and relevant regulatory requirements is highly desirable.
- Background in investment banking or financial planning will be considered an asset.
- Exceptional communication skills to explain technical information clearly to clients from diverse backgrounds.
