Hours: 10-12 hours/weekend, with a possibility of extra hours during the week | Saturdays, Sundays Holidays (time and a half) | Training starting in May/June
Starting Pay: $15-17/hr based on experience - annual reviews for pay increases
Do you love cats and want to work in a peaceful, feline-only environment? My Cat Nap Cottage, a cozy and professional boarding facility just for cats, is looking for a reliable, independent and detail-oriented weekend assistant to join our small, cat-loving team.
Schedule (approximate):
- Saturday mornings: 7:30/8 AM – 12:00 PM
Saturday afternoons: 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM
Sunday mornings: 7:30/8am - 10:30/11am
Sunday afternoons: 3:30-6:30pm
Holidays as needed (time and a half)
Start and end times may vary slightly depending on appointments or cats with special medical needs. You may be able to leave earlier if work is completed and medications are administered on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Feeding, cleaning litterboxes/rooms, and caring for our feline guests
- Administering medications (including insulin) or learning how to do so
- Handling drop-offs and pick-ups: greeting clients, taking info, and checking out
- Updating client records
- Giving cats one-on-one attention during downtime
- Creating report cards and taking photos/videos for social media during downtime
- Cleaning and organization tasks as needed
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience with cats or other animals preferred, but willing to train the right person
- Comfortable handling shy, nervous, or high-needs cats
- Punctual, dependable, and able to work independently
- Good communication skills and friendly with pet owners
- Detail-oriented and responsible with medications and scheduling
- Creative or willing to help with light social media content
