Position Summary
MyCaseBuilder is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our warehouse and operations team. The Inventory Clerk is responsible for the accurate tracking, receiving, organizing, and reporting of all foam materials, case components, hardware, and finished goods inventory. This role is critical to maintaining the flow of materials that support our custom fabrication operations and order fulfillment. The ideal candidate brings 3 to 5 years of hands-on inventory experience in a manufacturing, packaging, or warehouse environment and is comfortable working with inventory management systems in a fast-paced, small-team setting.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Control & Tracking
- Maintain accurate inventory records for all raw materials including foam sheets, foam rolls, hardware, case components, and finished goods.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts to verify physical inventory against system records.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, overages, and shortages in a timely manner.
- Label, organize, and properly store all inventory items in designated warehouse locations
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Record all received goods into the inventory management system accurately and promptly.
Reporting & Documentation
- Generate and maintain inventory reports, reorder alerts, and stock level summaries for management review.
- Document all inventory transactions including receipts, transfers, returns, and adjustments.
- Track slow-moving, obsolete, or damaged inventory and report findings to the Operations Manager.
- Maintain organized physical and digital records in accordance with company procedures.
Warehouse Operations Support
- Keep warehouse storage areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Collaborate with production, purchasing, and customer service teams to support order fulfillment timelines.
- Assist with special inventory projects, physical inventories, and audits as directed.
Qualifications & RequirementsExperience
- 3 to 5 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or a closely related role — REQUIRED.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing, packaging, or distribution environment is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with foam, protective cases, industrial materials, or related products is a plus.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and physical inventory counts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets for tracking and reporting.
- Experience with an inventory management system (IMS) or warehouse management system (WMS) required.
- Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documents.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for calculating quantities, weights, and dimensions.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing/warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree or coursework in logistics, supply chain, or business administration is a plus.
Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
