Duties
- Safely operate a box truck with automatic transmission on route driving schedules within the local area.
- Load, unload, and secure furniture, appliances, or other large items using equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks when necessary.
- Assist customers with the delivery of their items, ensuring proper placement and setup in their homes.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly, professionally, and courteously at each delivery.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Follow all safety procedures during heavy lifting, moving, and handling of goods to prevent injury or damage.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and completion reports throughout each shift.
Experience
- Prior experience as a delivery driver or courier with box trucks or similar commercial vehicles is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability in customer service roles involving heavy lifting, moving large items, or warehouse work.
- Familiarity with route driving, load & unload procedures, and using equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to heavy lifting and moving large objects in residential settings.
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with loading/unloading logistics will be advantageous. Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
