Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney to join a growing legal team in Seattle, Washington. The ideal candidate will have strong experience handling a broad range of immigration matters, providing strategic legal guidance to individuals, families, and businesses, and managing cases from inception through resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle employment-based and family-based immigration matters, including nonimmigrant visas, immigrant petitions, adjustment of status applications, and consular processing
- Represent clients before USCIS, EOIR, ICE, the Department of Labor, and other immigration-related agencies
- Prepare and file petitions and applications, including H-1B, L-1, TN, PERM, EB, O-1, asylum, naturalization, and family-sponsored immigration matters
- Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, responses to RFEs, and other immigration-related legal documents
- Advise clients on immigration compliance, eligibility, timelines, and case strategy
- Attend immigration interviews, hearings, and court proceedings as needed
- Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with deadlines and immigration regulations
- Communicate effectively with clients, government agencies, and internal stakeholders
- Stay informed on changes in immigration laws, policies, and procedures
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active Washington Bar license in good standing or ability to practice immigration law in the jurisdiction
- 2 years of immigration law experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of U.S. immigration laws and procedures
- Experience handling employment-based and/or family-based immigration matters
- Excellent legal writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Strong organizational and case management abilities
- Ability to independently manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
