We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of child development and a genuine love for working with young children. In this role, you’ll help create a nurturing, engaging environment that supports the social, emotional, and cognitive growth of each child. You’ll also be responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities while ensuring a safe and supportive classroom environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans for toddlers and preschool-aged children
- Encourage exploration, creativity, and peer interaction through hands-on learning experiences
- Promote positive behavior using effective classroom management techniques
- Observe and assess children’s developmental progress and communicate updates with families
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom that meets health and licensing standards
- Collaborate with team members to share ideas, plan activities, and maintain consistency across classrooms
- Build strong relationships with families through regular communication and parent engagement
- Participate in ongoing professional development and stay current on best practices in early childhood education
Requirements
- Previous experience in a childcare or early education setting (center-based, nannying, or related) preferred
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
- Familiarity with inclusive practices and the ability to support a variety of learning styles
- Confident in managing a classroom and guiding children’s behavior in a positive, respectful way
- Ability to design fun, play-based learning experiences for young children
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Warm, nurturing, and patient demeanor with a genuine desire to support children and families
- Early childhood education coursework or certifications are a plus, but not required
