What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool/Daycare Director position at My Baby Steps Academy?
We are looking for an energetic, multitasking, organized, and inspiring educator to join our preschool as Director.
Job Responsibilities:
- Effectively operate and manage all aspects of the school, including staffing, parent relations, quality control, and facility management.
- Engage with parents and proactively resolve their concerns in a professional and polite manner
- Build center enrollment by providing tours to families and leading community events
- Ensure compliance with Virginia childcare licensing minimum standards and develop strong working relationships with state licensing authorities
- Supervise and schedule staff for efficient school operations
- Establish a staff training program and implement training
- Provide creative, age-appropriate programs to all children served at the school
- Ensure teachers develop lesson plans based on the curriculum and developmentally appropriate practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field required
- A minimum of one year of full-time experience as a Director or two years of full-time experience as an Assistant Director required
- Must have professional teaching experience with infants to preschool children
- Strong knowledge of state licensing rules and regulations
- Must meet all state-specific requirements for the position
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
