Locations: Madison, Crozet, Lake Anna
Schedule: 6:30am to 5:00pm Monday-Friday with one day off during the week
Position Summary:
Cardinal Home Center is seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL Truck Driver to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring timely, accurate delivery of building materials while providing exceptional customer service. Our drivers do more than transport products—they represent Cardinal at every job site and play a key role in keeping our customers’ projects moving forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate CDL-class vehicles, including Moffett forklifts, boom trucks, box trucks, and flatbed dump trucks
- Load and secure building materials to ensure safe and efficient transport
- Plan and follow delivery routes and schedules to meet customer expectations
- Navigate and maneuver trucks in residential and commercial job sites
- Unload and place materials in designated areas using proper equipment
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with customers on-site
- Communicate customer feedback and job site information to the sales and operations teams
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-maintained vehicle
- Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and DOT requirements
Qualifications:
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required
- Ability to lift and carry up to 90 pounds
- Experience operating delivery equipment such as Moffett forklifts, boom trucks, or similar preferred
- Strong understanding of safe driving practices and job site safety
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Positive attitude, professionalism, and strong work ethic
- Flexibility to fill in at another store as needed
