Mountain West Industrial is seeking a skilled Pipe Welder to join our team. This role offers a dynamic mix of local and on-the-road assignments, providing opportunities to work on various industrial projects. The position includes daily per diem for travel-based work, making it an excellent fit for welders looking for flexibility and rewarding challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform pipe welding using SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and other techniques on a variety of materials and thicknesses.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to ensure project accuracy.
- Execute welds that meet industry standards for quality and durability.
- Inspect, maintain, and ensure safe operation of welding equipment.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
- Travel as needed to project sites, with local work also assigned when available.
- Collaborate with fitters, supervisors, and other team members to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a pipe welder in industrial environments.
- Proficiency in SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and other welding methods.
- Ability to interpret and work from blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship.
- Flexibility to travel and work in various locations as required.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Welding certifications (preferred but not required with substantial experience).
