Maintenance Technician Position Overview

MWI Components is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our equipment and facility operate safely and efficiently. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with electrical systems, PLCs, and manufacturing equipment preferred.
• Experience utilizing CMMS systems is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn and continuously develop new skills.
• Desire to grow with a stable, family-oriented company.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to frequently walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50–75 pounds.
• Ability to safely work at varying heights and in manufacturing environments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list is not intended to be all-inclusive. Additional duties may be assigned as business needs dictate.

• Collaborate with machine operators, Team Leads, and leadership to diagnose equipment issues, perform repairs, and minimize production downtime.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
• Install, troubleshoot, program, and adjust PLC-controlled machinery and automated systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and blueprints.
• Ensure machine guarding, safety devices, and interlock systems meet company and regulatory safety standards.
• Follow and execute all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Support and promote OSHA safety initiatives and maintain compliance with all company safety policies.
• Utilize CMMS software to document maintenance activities, repairs, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment using 5S principles.
• Participate in cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
• Comply with all quality, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
