Position Overview
The Entry-Level Assistant Controller provides foundational support to the plant’s finance and accounting team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to grow their expertise in cost accounting and financial reporting. The Assistant Controller will work closely with the Plant Controller and other departments to ensure accurate financial data, assist with reporting, and help maintain strong internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Operations
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Support financial statement preparation (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Help ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
Manufacturing & Cost Support
- Assist with inventory accounting, job costing, and variance analysis
- Support physical inventory processes and reconciliations
- Work with operations leaders to understand production costs and efficiencies
- Help maintain and improve cost accounting methods
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare routine financial and operational reports
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Assist with identifying trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Maintain financial data accuracy and documentation
- Help document and improve accounting procedures
- Assist in strengthening internal controls and financial discipline

Qualifications
Education & Experience
- AA or Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 1-2 years of related work experience

- Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP).
- Strong Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
