Engineering Tech

SUMMARY:

Assist Engineering department in a variety of tasks to transfer drawings/print and/or other documents into digital format.  Scan or copy current documents as needed.  Convert drawings and document to CAD format and enter pertinent information into other electronic business systems.  File documents as needed.  

 SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Interpret drawings, prints and/or sketches to determine necessary information needed to convert to digital format.
• Convert drawings to electronic and digital format using CAD and or business engineering systems.
• Follow recommended standard procedures, revision identification and naming nomenclature for drawings.
• Responsible for filing original documents as required.
• May assist in other support activities in the Engineering Department of other functions.
•  Any/all other duties as assigned. 

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

• Strong mechanical or electrical aptitude (depending on discipline).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with tools, measurement equipment, and diagnostic instruments.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Required

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Pursuing degree in relevant discipline (mechanical engineering, applications etc.)
• Proficient in AutoCAD LT

•  B.A or B.S in Mechanical Engineering
