Medical Receptionist

MVPT Physical Therapy, a leading provider of outpatient physical therapy in the Northeast, is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. This will start as a temporary role and could become permanent. 40 hours per week. In this role, you will be the front office point person, handling scheduling and day-to-day workflow. You will oversee the check-in/out process, ensuring it’s fast, friendly, and accurate, and you will act as the go-to for insurance verifications, authorizations, and co-pay collections. Our Athol clinic has earned a longstanding reputation for exceptional patient care, outstanding clinical outcomes, and strong community relationships. Our clinic features a modern, open-concept design filled with natural light, creating a welcoming and energizing environment for both patients and providers. The spacious layout encourages teamwork, collaboration, and an exceptional patient experience. Conveniently located just off Route 2 in the Market Basket Plaza, the clinic offers easy access to restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, and local amenities.

What You'll Do

• Welcome patients and provide outstanding customer service
• Answer phones and assist with scheduling appointments
• Verify insurance benefits and explain patient financial responsibilities
• Manage patient intake forms and maintain accurate records
• Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and insurance approvals
• Support clinic operations and maintain efficient schedules
• Assist with billing, payments, and administrative tasks

What We're Looking For

• Experience in a medical office, healthcare setting, or front desk role required
• Knowledge of insurance verification and patient financial responsibilities preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Excellent organization and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
