Job Description

MVP Staffing is currently seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented **Yard Coordinator** to join our warehouse operations team in Kearny, NJ.

The Yard Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring trailer movements, maintaining accurate yard inventory, coordinating with warehouse personnel and drivers, and ensuring all safety procedures are followed.

We are looking for someone who can multitask, communicate effectively, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor and coordinate inbound and outbound trailer movements.

- Track trailer locations and maintain accurate yard inventory records.

- Verify trailer numbers, seal numbers, and dock door assignments.

- Communicate with yard drivers, warehouse supervisors, security, and transportation teams.

- Ensure trailers are properly secured and wheel chocks are used according to safety procedures.

- Prepare and verify Bills of Lading (BOLs) and shipping documentation.

- Coordinate trailer movements to support efficient loading and unloading operations.

- Report trailer discrepancies, delays, and safety concerns to management.

- Conduct routine yard inspections and maintain a safe, organized work environment.

- Update trailer tracking systems and provide timely operational updates.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in warehouse operations, logistics, transportation, or yard coordination preferred.

- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.

- Strong communication and organizational skills.

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Familiarity with shipping documents and Bills of Lading (BOLs) is a plus.

- Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toe footwear and a high-visibility vest.

Compensation & Schedule

- **Pay Rate:** $20.00 per hour
