Overview

Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Machinist and become a vital part of precision metalworking! In this role, you will operate, set up, and program CNC machines—including lathes and milling centers—to produce high-quality components with accuracy and efficiency. Your expertise in machining tools, blueprint interpretation, and measurement will ensure that every part meets strict quality standards. Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machining equipment, including CNC lathes and milling machines, ensuring proper machine calibration and safety procedures.
  • Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to produce precise parts.
  • Program CNC machines using G-code, M-code, and CAM programming software to create efficient machining processes.
  • Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and dial indicators to verify dimensions during production.
  • Conduct machine tool adjustments, tool changes, and troubleshooting to optimize machining performance.
  • Perform quality inspections using GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards to ensure parts meet design specifications.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of setup procedures, inspection results, and production logs for quality control purposes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC mills and CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages including G-code and M-code; experience with CAM software is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in reading mechanical blueprints and understanding mechanical blueprint interpretation.
  • Familiarity with CAD software like SolidWorks or similar for part design review.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and dial indicators for quality measurement.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to metal machining processes such as grinding, manual machining, and assembly techniques.
  • Basic math skills for calculating measurements, tolerances, and machining parameters.
  • Experience with manufacturing standards such as GD&T; understanding of CNC quality inspection processes.
  • Knowledge of machining tools, hand tools, power tools, grinders, and machine setup procedures.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately while adhering to safety protocols in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
