Position: Facilities maintenance Person Location: MV Boise Transit CoReports to: Maintenance Manager / General Manager Classification: Hourly/Non-exempt Job Purpose:Maintenance of two Properties including snow removal and landscaping.Under general supervision of the Manager of Maintenance who provides general instruction on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments.Major Responsibilities: Assisting or leading the cleaning interior and exterior of Transit YardsInspect and lubricate bus wash equipmentInspect, lubricate and adjust shop equipment when necessaryGeneral light repair of items at the facilities, and equipment including replacement of light bulbs and minor electrical for example a fluorescent ballast replacement Maintain a safe, clean, teamwork areaDocument all repairs and inspections in work order system. Assist others as requestedAbility to read and comprehend instructions and operate new equipment. Ability to comprehend warranty issues and process Communicate professionally with team members, clients, supervisors, Operate a forklift an asset or ability to be trainedActively participate in safety or educational training as requiredPerformance may be measured by the degree to which use of time, self-supervision, grounds, and facilities, are clean and equipment functioning in a safe and efficient mannerAbility to operate pressure washer, lawn and ground keeping equipmentState driver’s license in good standing and ability to operate snow clearing equipment, plow and or hand snow blowerOther duties as assignedLevel of decision-making:Determine how to prioritize tasks ReasoningAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
