Mutual of America Capital Management is seeking an experienced Equity Research Analyst to join our investment team. We are looking for a sector specialist with 4 years of experience to assume primary coverage of a specific industry within the Small and Mid-Capitalization US market. The ideal candidate will bring a defined coverage universe and a proven research process, with the ability to identify investment opportunities across both Growth and Value investment styles.
Responsibilities:
Base Salary Range: $176,000 - $265,000

Responsibilities:
- Assume primary research responsibility for a designated sector (open to candidate’s area of expertise).
- Generate high-conviction investment ideas through rigorous bottom-up fundamental analysis.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models to project earnings and cash flow.
- Develop relationships with company management teams and attend industry conferences to gain differentiated insights.
- Communicate investment recommendations and sector views directly to Portfolio Managers.
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory developments that impact portfolio holdings.
- Collaborate with the broader investment team to share insights and best practices.
- 4 years of buy-side or sell-side equity research experience.
- Established track record of stock selection and thesis generation.
- Existing coverage of a specific sector with a knowledge of the SMID-cap landscape.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a dedicated coverage list.
- Flexible investment approach with the ability to analyze opportunities across value and growth frameworks.
- Exceptional analytical and communication skills.
